Also, make sure you find an establishment where the staff listens to you. You're a valuable part of the auto repair team even though you aren't doing the mechanical work. That's because you're the daily driver. You know your car's typical behavior, and you can describe anything unusual that's occurring. Further, about mechanics' credentials. (Ours are ASE-Certified.) Ask about experience, too. (We've been in business since 1957!) Check on warranty/guarantee offerings, too. All of these are general tips applicable to any make or model. Other specific considerations include whether or not a shop will work with an insurer if you have mechanical coverage, if a nationwide repair warranty covers you, and if the business accepts your make/model car.
